“We are delighted that we can help Mercy Ships,
by providing them with essential footwear that will ensure their
volunteers optimum safety. Mercy Ships is a wonderful charity and
the work they do is inspiring. It is an honour to have an association
with Mercy Ships and we are thrilled that our donation will directly
contribute to the volunteer’s safety onboard the Africa Mercy”.
Steve Cook, Procurement Manager at Mercy Ships said:
“Mercy Ships rely on kind donations such as
those from uvex, their support is greatly appreciated and warmly
received. Without such donations Mercy Ships would simply not be
able to carry on providing the vital work they do. To comply with
marine safety directives these shoes will be used on board the Africa
Mercy by the volunteer engineers and locally hired day workers for
all engineering work and general ship maintenance”.
